With a degree in Cultural Geography and a ton of world travel, I can observe details and subtleties that people often don't see. When you combine this with my love of people I think I have been uniquely qualified to capture and document the ritual, tenderness and beauty of marriage.

Given the unique vision behind each wedding & the importance of choosing the right wedding photographer for you, I believe in getting to know each couple through a complimentary wedding consultation before discussing photography.

Most recollections of weddings past are actually those spontaneous moments and unguarded instants that become cherished memories years later. Tender moments, silly moments, the tears of joy and laughter… It is my aim to capture those moments and hope that years later these instants still put a smile on your face.

My Philosophy

I believe that the most remarkable and memorable moments happen unexpectedly with genuine emotion.  My aim is to capture your real emotions, without the stiffness and formality of traditional wedding portraiture. I use a combination of natural and artificial lighting, with as little posing as possible, while documenting each of the precious moments of your wedding day through an unobtrusive, photo-journalistic approach.

My philosophy is more about blending in and capturing intimate moments, making it true to your day, rather than spending endless hours posing you posing you with your friends and relatives. That said I am not completely opposed to photographing the joyful couple and a few of the most important people in their lives as they share the love we feel for each other

I love using the wonderful parks and gardens around Vancouver, as they are beautiful in every season and lend themselves for truly dramatic photography.

I am also available for wedding photography worldwide. I have photographed people and places in over 150 countries on all continents under varying light conditions that can actually be quite different than what we are accustomed to in Vancouver
